Below are some comments our guests have sent in since their stay at 'Les Agathes'.
Jo Ann & Brian Baxter (Colorado, USA)
We so enjoyed our stay at Les Agathes. Salon is ideally located for exploring Provence. It is extremely easy to get to Salon from the Marseilles airport. In the four weeks, we stayed there we were able to visit Nice, the Maritime Alps, Avignon, Arles, Orange, Martiques, Cassis, the Luberon, the Cote du Rhone, vinyards and countless Roman ruins. The house was perfect for our needs. We were able to accomodate guests from the States for as long as 10 days. We enjoyed the patios and ate many meals outside. The pool provided an excellent method for cooling off in the afternoons. The information provided prior to our visit was very helpful and informative. We would be happy to recommend Les Agathes to anyone interested. Thank you again for a wonderful experience.

We have been to France on several occasions, but since
our first visit to Provence and Les Agathes we have
found our absolute favorite place on earth to be. We
recently returned from yet another visit, and had to
write.
The photos of the villa on the web don't do it
justice. We absolutely love contemporary architecture,
and to find something so modern, yet that blends so
well into the environment and countryside was
exciting. My husband especially is quite particular
about where he stays, and as soon as he saw the villa,
he was sold! Beyond it's aesthetics, it is such a
comfortable place to stay. We have more than enough
room to "stretch out," and the villa is completely
stocked with every modern amenity. Some days we simply
stayed "home" and cooked -- although the location is
so central to all the best Provence has to offer, we
did often take advantage of restaurants and plenty of
tours of local "caves" and villages.
From our convenient "base" in Salon, we were able to
visit every corner of Provence, from Avignon, Arles,
Nimes and Les Beaux to Gordes, Bonnieux, Menerbes,
Pertuis, Ansouis and Marseilles. We can't even count
all the sweet little villages we discovered in
between.
Our goal all along was to visit the "real" France, to
see how the locals in Provence live their lives. We
couldn't have chosen a better place to make this
discovery. Salon itself is not a tourist town, and we
often sat at cafes in and around the Mossy Fountain to
take in the local culture. We even met several locals,
and spoke with them about everything from travel to
politics (within the limits of my French!)
We have every intention of coming back again and again
-- if we can get a reservation! Les Agathes has become
quite popular, and deservedly so. It's tranquil "country" feel and close-in location, coupled with the amenities
(including the pool we couldn't get enough of!) and the warmth
of Isabelle and Jonathan make it our number one travel destination.
Thank you for another magical vacation in Provence!

In many ways the villa exceeded our expectations- the house and grounds were bigger than expected. the facilities provided were better than we had been used to from previous "gites". I mean a full blown Hi Fi and proper mountain bikes? We hadn't seen that in any place we had been in before, some much more expensive. The design is striking and makes for an unusual living experiencefor most pople. The open plan enables full interaction between everyone in the house whether inside or outside.

I would certainly recommend the villa and its location as being central to many beautiful trips.

The best attributes of the villa were its open and airy feel and most definitely its situation in the area.We would not hesitate to recommend the villa to friends and family.
Brenda Mather (Ontario, Canada)
We had a fantastic time at "Les Agathes" and it was a perfect location to explore all the sites in the area. If the chance arrives we will certainly recommend the villa to our friends.

We really enjoyed a wonderful week at your beautiful home and exploring the surrounding towns and countryside. The weather was scorching all week and the pool was a welcome relief, the kids were never out of it. The adults enjoyed a late night dip once they were all in bed, gazing at the astounding nightsky, sipping the local wine. We all wished that it had been booked for a fortnight! C'est la vie!

We had a wonderful time at "Les Agathes". It is a beautiful property with such an excellent mix of modern and traditional architecture. We did lots of things in the area: Aix, Marseille, Avignon, The lake of St Croix (yes we did hire a pedallo and went up the gorge). What an extraordinary place! Well worth a visit! Back at the villa the pool was a God-send. We would really love to visit again.Thank you for your care in ringing and well done for all your hard work.
